Through innovative pediatric therapy services, Unlimited Possibilities is paving the way for children and families with disabilities to create a limitless future.

Everyone Deserves a Voice

Seven-year-old Emma began receiving UP’s services at just eight months old. Diagnosed with Cortical Visual Impairment and Lissencephaly Pachygyria, Emma faces complex medical challenges, including nightly seizures. Receiving a diagnosis changed everything for the Hager family, as doctors shared the possibility that their daughter may never walk or speak on her own.

Three months after her first visit, Emma’s family moved all of her therapies to UP due to the exceptional care they received. “Every single government entity that
provides services for Emma has failed her multiple times, but places like UP
have been our relief,” shared her parents, Bud and Maggie. During the
COVID-19 pandemic, when many disability services closed throughout Orange
County, UP remained a pillar of support for the Hager family, providing both
in-home visits and telehealth services.

Today, Emma continues to reach new milestones with the support of her parents, care team, and UP’s innovative programs, including VitalStim therapy, which helped improve her feeding and swallowing abilities. Emma also recently communicated her very
first words using an Eyegaze device during a speech therapy session at UP. This
technology allows users to control a computer or device and select words on the
screen using only eye movements.

The Eyegaze technology has opened a new world of possibilities for Emma and her family, as she is now learning to express her wants and needs through the device, sharing more of her bright personality with those around her. Bud shared, “Through working with UP, I am relieved to finally hear Emma’s voice. It’s an opportunity I
never thought we would have.” At UP, we believe every child and family
deserve access to the innovative programs and supportive services that will
empower them to reach their fullest potential.

Together, we push what’s possible and consider it our calling.

Our Calling

Emma’s story is not just one of overcoming obstacles; it’s a testament to the transformative impact that innovative therapy can have on a child’s entire life trajectory. Through our core programs, UP is empowering families in the disability community to redefine their narratives, break down barriers, and think beyond their diagnosis. Ultimately, giving families hope for the future.

Our calling is simple: everyone deserves access to the highest quality of care they need to thrive, regardless of diagnosis or ability to pay.
