WHO WE ARE

There are some who say, “it simply can’t be done,” who see the final diagnosis and not the ultimate potential. There are some who do the work and call it a day, who think inside the textbook lines and never question what’s possible. Then there’s us. A family very much like your own, focused on changing the rules and defying the unsubstantiated limits placed on every child and family with a disability. We’re different, which is perhaps why we embrace and celebrate every difference that comes before us--no matter the diagnosis. Your child, and your family, belong with a family of visionary therapists, specialists, and caregivers to help fulfill what’s imaginable; to advocate for your joy and progress and quality of life. And while some simply do the work and call it a day, we push what’s “possible” and consider it our calling.

We are family-focused

We are steadfast

We are human-centered

OUR HISTORY

In 1953, United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County (UCP-OC) began with a focused mission on supporting and improving the lives of children and adults with cerebral palsy. At a time when there was an immense lack of understanding associated with disabilities and little to no services to support the challenges families face in the wake of a diagnosis, our organization served as a beacon of hope in providing resources and assistance to those living with cerebral palsy.

Our organization has evolved tremendously since then and has expanded to meet the needs of the community. And in 2022, we adopted a brand-new name, Unlimited Possibilities (UP) to better reflect our future. Today, UP offers services to more than 160 different disabilities and conditions, an important pivot that allows us to make a bigger impact on the lives of families throughout Orange County. Despite this evolution, our mission has stayed the course – to create a limitless future for children and families with disabilities.

Equipped with credentialed, caring clinicians and a dedicated staff of over 350 specialists who are on the ground in the community carrying the bold ambition to keep pushing treatment, care and therapeutic boundaries, UP continues to transform the lives of people with disabilities, ultimately giving families hope for tomorrow.
